Hidden Heroes Doing Holy Work

Hidden Heroes of the Month is where we shine a light on the incredible people who selflessly serve their communities. Each month, we will feature a new hero, a first responder, a military member, or a dedicated community servant and share their story of faith and service. These are the individuals who embody the spirit of Psalm 68 Ministries, and we are honored to support them.

Connections Prison Ministry

This month we celebrate the incredible work of Connections Prison Ministry and their powerful mission to rescue, redeem, and restore lives behind bars. Their beautiful motto "from prison to praise" perfectly captures the spiritual transformation happening in correctional facilities across our nation.

Through faith-driven programs, dedicated volunteers share the love of Jesus with inmates and parolees, offering hope where despair once lived. We've witnessed countless stories of men and women finding redemption, discovering their worth, and experiencing life-changing encounters with God's grace.

Thank you, Connections Prison Ministry, for showing that no one is beyond the reach of God's love. Your compassionate work proves that even in the darkest places, praise can emerge.

Also, Miss Carol is one of our favorite people. She and her late husband have been ministering in jails and prisons for over 55 years.

Some of the kindest heroes are the least visible. Across Colorado, Crossroads Ministries is quietly showing up for elderly residents who rarely get a visit: offering not just gifts, but genuine friendship and compassion. In dozens of senior care facilities, they bring hope, a listening ear, and gentle encouragement to those often forgotten. Every gift, every smile, and every moment shared is a reminder that no one is truly alone.

This is what the love of God looks like in action: a simple act of kindness that reminds someone they’re seen and valued. Thank you, Psalm 68 family, for making moments like this possible. Let’s keep walking alongside the hidden heroes who care for the ones too often overlooked. Crossroads is led by 86-year old Kay Owen Larson who has been visiting the elderly since she was 13.

Welcome!

Psalm 68 Ministries began in our home in July of 2025. After nearly two decades of faithfully pastoring New Life Church, our commitment to provide support for widows and orphans, as well as ministry leaders, continues.
This ministry draws its name from a significant passage in Psalm 68, a life verse that has guided us through 36 years of marriage and ministry.
